Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy covers the GenICU marketing site, the NEXUS platform at nexus.genicu.io, and any GenICU application, dashboard or API that links to it. It applies to visitors, account holders, and anyone whose image, voice or activity a GenICU agent observes on a customer's behalf.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create a GenICU account or sign in, we collect your name, email address, and password, or — if you choose to sign in with Google — the basic profile information Google shares with us (your name, email address, and profile photo) after you grant consent. We do not receive your Google password.

Sensor and observation data

To do its job, a GenICU agent processes the camera feeds, audio, and other sensor data you connect it to, along with the detections, alerts, and activity logs it produces from that feed. This data belongs to you; see Security & Privacy for how it is handled and how long it is kept.

Usage and device data

We automatically collect standard technical data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and pages or API endpoints accessed — to operate, secure, and improve the service.

3. Google user data

If you use “Sign in with Google” or connect a Google account to GenICU, we access only the scopes you explicitly approve on Google's consent screen. We use that data solely to authenticate you, create and secure your account, and provide the specific integration you requested — never for advertising, and never to sell it to third parties.

GenICU's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, wherever applicable.

4. How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and secure the GenICU service.
• To run detection and alerting on the feeds you connect, and to show you the resulting activity log.
• To authenticate you and protect your account from misuse.
• To communicate with you about your account, alerts, or changes to our services or policies.
• To improve GenICU's models and product — using your own account's data for personalization only, and never footage or audio to train models shared across other customers, unless you explicitly opt in.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Infrastructure and processing subprocessors (such as cloud hosting and model inference providers) bound by contract to use it solely to provide GenICU's service to you.
• Other members of your household or organization that you explicitly grant access to, such as through guest or sitter modes.
• Law enforcement or other parties when required by valid legal process, or to protect the safety of a person in an emergency.
• A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the commitments in this policy.

6. Data retention

Raw video and audio are discarded after processing by default. Clips relevant to an alert are kept for the retention window you configure (30 days by default, adjustable down to zero). Account and billing records are kept as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations.

7. Your choices and rights

• Access, export, or delete your data at any time from account settings, or by contacting us.
• Revoke Google account access at any point from your Google Account permissions page — this immediately stops any further data sharing with GenICU.
• Set boundaries on what an agent may observe or act on, and pause or mute any sensor instantly.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing.

8. Security

Feeds, messages, and records are encrypted in transit and at rest. Details on our security practices and certifications are on the Security & Privacy page.

9. Children's privacy

GenICU is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect account information from them. GenICU agents may incidentally observe children present in a monitored space on behalf of the adult account holder who deployed them.

10. Changes to this policy

We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes, and notify account holders of material changes by email or in-product notice before they take effect.
