Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using any GenICU service — including nexus.genicu.io, our website, and our APIs (collectively, the “Service”) — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. The Service

GenICU provides visual intelligence agents that process camera feeds and other sensor data you connect, detect events, and act on your behalf according to the boundaries you configure. The Service is provided on a subscription basis unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account, including access you grant to guests or sitters.
• If you sign in with a third-party account such as Google, you authorize us to receive the profile information that provider shares with your consent, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use GenICU to monitor a person or space without the legal right or consent required to do so under applicable law.
• Use GenICU to harass, stalk, discriminate against, or harm anyone.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data.
• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law, including wiretapping, surveillance, or data-protection laws in your jurisdiction.

5. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the feeds, footage, audio, and other data you connect to GenICU (“Your Data”). You grant us a limited license to process Your Data solely to provide and improve the Service for you, subject to the retention and use commitments in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the rights and consents necessary to share Your Data with us.

6. Third-party services

The Service may let you connect third-party accounts or hardware, such as Google sign-in or camera systems you already own. Your use of those third parties' services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

7. Fees and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on the cycle disclosed at signup. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise in an order form. We may change pricing on future billing cycles with prior notice.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, non-payment, or to protect the Service or other users, and will give notice where reasonably possible. Upon termination, we will handle Your Data as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

GenICU is a monitoring and detection aid, not a guarantee of safety, and should not be relied on as a sole means of protecting life or property. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GenICU will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or in-product notice before the changes take effect.
